## Why Planning is Important

Adapting Vroom Content effectively and using it to have an impact on families in your community requires a solid plan. This can help you (and us) avoid pitfalls, think ahead, and be clear on what we are trying to achieve.

As we like to say, your chances of hitting your target go up significantly when you aim at it! When you have a good plan in place, it will help us understand and review your application. More important, it will help you implement with impact!

You’ll want to anchor this thinking in the context of your existing programming as much as possible. When you think about the work you are already doing, what virtual and in-person networks are most relevant and easiest to tap into?

Social Landscape for Caregivers in your community

Technology

When you complete your application, you will want to include an understanding of the main social networks in your community. In your Vroom Content License application, you should demonstrate an understanding of the social networks in your community, including the ways parents and caregivers exchange information. These might include technological tools, in-person networks, or more likely, a mix of the two. 

As you now know, there are some limits on ways you can adapt Vroom Content. Module 3 will cover the specific adaptation guidelines, but for now, you can think generally about what you want from your own adapted version of Vroom Content.
