AttributionHow you identify the source of Vroom of Content
Bezos Family FoundationThe philanthropic organization behind Vroom.
Brain Building BasicsThese are actions words that define the kinds of caregiver behaviors that are at the root of all Vroom Activities. They are the very foundation of Vroom Content. As a Vroom Resource, "Brain Building Basics" or the singular "Brain Building Basic" should always be capitalized, but not hyphenated. It should always be stated fully and never shortened to just “the basics.”
Brain Building MomentsThe term Vroom uses to describe the regular moments that parents and caregivers have with children that provide opportunities to support children’s learning and development.
Brainy BackgroundsThe explanation of why and how a Vroom Activity supports children’s learning and development. Every Vroom Tip includes an Activity and a Brainy Background.
Call to ActionWhat you ask your audience to do, such as call a number or email (e.g. “To learn more, visit Vroom.org.”)
Commercial PurposesFor sale or distribution in exchange for value. Vroom Content cannot be used for commercial purposes, neither as standalone content nor as a part of other materials. For more information, visit our FAQs.

Custom Content LicensePermission from the Bezos Family Foundation that allows your organization to adapt Vroom Content, provided changes are within adaptation guidelines and approved in advance.
High Touch AdaptationDeeper changes to Vroom Content like translation into local dialects or adjustments to local culture. Often use outside experts.
License AgreementA signed document that provides your organization with written permission to adapt Vroom Content, provided changes are within adaptation guidelines and approved in advance.
License ApplicationA form your organization must complete to request a Vroom Content License.
LicenseeThe organization that holds the Vroom Content License.
Logo LockupA lockup is the final form of a logo with all of it's elements locked in their relative positions.
Low Touch AdaptationLighter changes to Vroom Content, like basic translation or small cultural references. Often done in-house by the Licensee organization.
ModuleA section of the Vroom Adaptation Toolkit.
Parents and CaregiversVroom is for parents, grandparents, teachers, etc. When space allows, always refer to parents and caregivers to ensure maximum accessibility. E.g., “The Vroom app reaches parents and caregivers by activating many different touch points in their daily routines.”
Science AdvisorsThe panel of experts who inform and guide our work. Note: “Science Advisors” not “Scientific Advisors.”
SublicenseSharing a license or Vroom Content (not the approved materials that include it) directly with another organization for the purpose of adapting or distributing Vroom Content or Trademarks.
Trusted MessengersThe organizations and individuals who have relationships with local parents and caregivers.

Vroom MaterialsResources created by the Bezos Family Foundation designed to show parents and caregivers about Vroom and the importance of early brain-building. Examples include posters, flyers, tip cards, handouts and videos.
Vroom TemplatesVroom Materials with easy-to-use, drop-in fields that let you add your own logo and CTA to Vroom assets.
Vroom TipA suggestion of an easy activity a parent or caregiver might do with a child, and an explanation of how the activity promotes development and learning. Every Vroom Tip includes an activity and a Brainy background. Always capitalize the noun “tips” when preceded by Vroom. Do not capitalize when standing alone. Note: Never “a Vroom” or “Vrooms.” E.g., “Each card contains a Vroom Tip that parents can do with their children.”
Vroom TrademarksWords, names, symbols or designs used to identify Vroom. These include trademarks and logos owned by the Bezos Family Foundation that are included in all Vroom Content and Vroom Materials.
